Duke of Ed

On Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th, eight Duke of Edinburgh students completed the practice hike with assistance from Miss Tilse and Mr Cowan. We hiked at Mulligans Hut, having walked 20kms in total. Across the 2 days, we ventured through many biomes such as rainforests, wetlands, and bush scrub. We hiked up steep hills and stepped in plenty of mud, coming away with many blisters. Throughout the trip, we cooked a variety of foods, slept on the hard ground in the rain, and shared plenty of laughs along the way. This practice expedition set us up for our qualifying hike in a few weeks to achieve our Bronze Award. Overall, we had an enjoyable time full of exercise, delicious food, and making fun of Mr Cowan.
