Principal Report

I hope with all this wet weather everyone has been able to stay dry.

It's been a busy start to the term, with lots of excursions taking place. Please keep an eye out on our "Dates to Remember" page.

The Tell Them From Me Survey is now open. We would love to hear your feedback. The survey is completely confidential.  Please click on the link to complete the survey.

Our new basketball shade shelter is well on the way and we look forward to it being completed shortly.

The LED light refurbishment has started. This is a DoE initiative. The workers are working around our school hours to minimise distractions to our classes.

On Friday 21 October, I had the pleasure of attending the Tamworth Dance Festival. All of our students performed wonderfully and I would like to congratulate them on all the effort and time they have dedicated to their craft.

Last week, students should have received their RAT kits. If your student did not receive any please come to the front office to collect them.

Phones, Phones, Phones! The number of students who are being caught with their phones during class time is growing. I would like to remind students and their families that we have a very strict phone policy at Glen Innes High School. All students are made well aware that phones need to be kept in their bags during class time.

I would also like to encourage all parents and caregivers to view their child's social media accounts and photos.  The following are some very useful websites to assist parents from the eSafety Commissioner website: Learn about the latest games, apps, and social media, including how to protect your information and report harmful content.

Last Day of School Term 4 2022

As we near the end of the year, I want to thank you for your ongoing support and notify you of a date change for the last day of Term 4 classes.

Students now finish school on Friday 16 December 2022.

This is due to an additional School Development Day announced for staff across NSW public schools. School Development Days allow our staff to participate in professional learning that was put on hold due to COVID-19 staffing pressure and plan ahead for 2023 to ensure we meet the needs of our students.
