Pre-K to Year 2

The Early Years

As hard as it is to believe, the 2022 school year has drawn to a close. The students have been busy learning about the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, as well as completing a range of Christmas-themed games and activities. There has been present wrapping, ornament making, Wishlist writing and more, not to mention some cheeky Elves getting up to mischief in the Learning Spaces! It has been wonderful to see their smiling faces and share in their excitement at this special time of year.

On Tuesday of this week the students attended transition, where they spent time in the Learning Spaces they might be in next year. On Wednesday, all classes sat reverently during the annual Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Fr Mark and applauded the announcement of the 2023 House Captains. Today they were dazzled by the many talents of their peers at the end of year primary talent show - Salvado’s Got Talent. They will all, no doubt, be ready for a well-earned rest.

I would like to thank all the Early Years staff for their hard work and dedication to their roles throughout the year, and for always going the extra mile to cater for the needs of the students in their care. Teaching is a ‘work of heart’ and your efforts to give of yourselves each and every day are very much appreciated.

As I write my final eNewsletter piece before leaving Salvado, I want to say thank you to all members of our community. It has been a privilege to have been part of the Salvado Catholic College community, and to have been able to be part of your child/ren’s learning and faith journey. I will always treasure the many memories I have made of my time here. Thank you to all who have offered kind words and thoughtful gifts, and to those who took the time to write me farewell messages. I am so very grateful.

To all the students at SCC - thank you for always making me feel so welcomed in your Learning Spaces and in the playground, and for bringing joy to my world each day. I am so grateful for the beautiful present you all contributed to that was given to me this week - it is a precious gift that I will always treasure and look back on over the years. From the bottom of my heart - thank you ❤️

Wishing you all a safe, happy and Holy Christmas. May God bless you, always.
