Miss Mel's Message
Principal - St Brigid's Primary School
As we end our 2022 school year, may we look back fondly on the achievements, connections, celebrations and challenges that we have overcome. We have impacted change on so many levels, and should be proud of the community we are. We have celebrated our sacraments together, been on camps, and sleepovers, excursions, incursions, swimming, graduation, whole school project initiatives, carols by candle lights and excelled in our learning in so many ways. Our interactions and special events help to deepen the relationships within our community and with one another, and we look to develop these further in 2023.
We continue to be inspired by Brigid’s faith, strength and courage and have taken risks, stood tall, shown bravery and resilience. We have also grown as individuals and nurtured the God-given talents and skills that we have been blessed with. We continue to develop an appreciation for the amazing community of St Brigid’s, of which we are all a vital part.
We farewell our Year 6 students, and some of their families, with this being their last child at St Brigid’s. We think about the impact they have had in our community, the connections made, and thank them for their contributions.
We also farewell staff members Lisa Zervos and Sinead Scott, and thank them for their contributions and commitment to our community, as well as for our those students who will be going to a new school in 2023. We wish them every happiness and success in their new ventures.
Thank you to the parent community who have continued to support our school in so many ways. Your efforts are appreciated, valued and so important to the continued successes of St Brigid’s.
A big thank you to the amazing staff who have worked so tirelessly to support me in my new role, support each other and our students, ensuring high-quality learning, exciting experiences and wonderful memories continue to be made.
We look forward to an exciting 2023, with a new and dynamic leadership team and a wonderful staff lineup. Please see below for staffing details.
Together, through our combined efforts, we will see St Brigid’s at its best!
May you all have a safe, restful and relaxing break. Let’s hope summer arrives!
A message on behalf of the Galea Family
Thank you everyone for all of the support shown to the boys and Jarrod this year. It really does take a village to raise a child and this has certainly been shown to us this year. We really do appreciate everyone's efforts.
