Senior Years

Merry Christmas to you all. As we near the end of the year, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on the positive growth your child/ren has made and to chat about some of their favourite moments from the past 12 months.

2022 has been an incredibly busy year. We debate whether it just feels extra busy because we had two years of irregular schooling, no camps or after school commitments but no matter the reason, everyone finished the year exhausted! Focusing on the progress and positives will set your child/ren up to return in the new year with an optimistic attitude.

The VCE results came out last week and we are so proud of our Class of 2022. It is always exciting to see what opportunities our Year 12 leavers will take up as the first round of university offers come out this week. It is a time of change and new adventures. Mrs Manifold has been supporting the students all year to ensure that appropriate pathways are available and accessible for all our school leavers and ow their confident futures begin.

Careers advice is a crucial aspect of Year 12 and a unique opportunity to get to know what lights the fire in our students. I am looking forward to undertaking further study in the careers field and working alongside Mrs Manifold in 2023.

Over the holidays, look after each other, stay safe and spend time surrounded by those you love.

THANK YOU

Thank you to the amazing College community. I have loved working at College and with all of the amazing students. I have developed strong connections with many families, and I will miss you all immensely. I hope to see you all in the community to see how your young people are going and to say hello. I feel very blessed to have been able to support the College students from Prep through to Year 12 with their social and emotional wellbeing over the previous five years. I am very excited about my new role at Monivae, but as one beautiful student said to me, “Once College, always College Ms Couchman.”

Take care and recharge over the break.
