Deputy Principal, Teaching and Learning

I don’t want a lot for Christmas

There is just one thing I need

I don’t care about the presents

Underneath the Christmas tree

I just want you for my own

More than you could ever know

Make my wish come true

All I want for Christmas is to thank you…and find time to read, lie on the beach, laugh with my family, re-connect with my friends, and reflect on the enormous achievements of this year 2022.

Learning is a lifelong experience and together we have been able to achieve great things. Thank you everyone for supporting our teachers, our admin staff, students, and parents.

Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2023.

SENIOR SCHOOL LAPTOP DEVICES

Over the holidays is a perfect time for secondary school students to tidy up their files, remove unnecessary material from the year they have completed and ensured that their work is saved so it will synchronise to OneDrive. The device should be shut down when it is not being used. While some of us have internet connection issues at home, there are times of the day when things are better to enable the sync to work (at my place morning is usually more reliable than afternoon)!

School devices have protective software systems in place and are covered by warranty if things are broken. Non-functioning keyboards, cracks, or other problems should be reported to our wonderful Tech Support team (Mitchell Clode and James Kruger). A loan device can be supplied if a damaged computer needs to be sent off to be repaired.

The College has been a leading technology school in terms of our use of Microsoft products and supportive technology that allows for touch screen and typing options for many years. Teams is a critical part of our communication chain and Class OneNotes underpin much of our methodology. Our classrooms enhance this by having a large touch screen for teachers to model techniques and deliver seamless lesson support material.

Best Wishes to all students and their families for the end of this year and the start of 2023.
