From the Acting Principal 

The 2022 school year is complete.  We had a wonderful final week and I congratulate everyone on such a positive finish to the school year – students, staff and parents/guardians.

The Old Fashioned Sports, despite the weather, was a great success. Students and parents skipped, hopped, and laughed their way through the morning with Berry House the champions on the day. The Berry domination continued with another victory in the House Jelly Eating competition. Students from both schools enjoyed competing together and well done to the Parents’ and Friends’ for organising the MND Ice Bucket Challenge.  It was chilly!

At the Senior School we had a moving final assembly as we farewelled several staff members and students.

Our staff concluded their year with a full day of first aid, planning and preparation for the 2023 school year. The final day is always one of mixed emotion as we look forward to welcoming new staff but must also say goodbye to colleagues and friends. 

The College office closes today and reopens on 9 January.

Staffing update

We are delighted that the last of our staffing appointments for 2023 are now locked in. Mrs Melissa McDonald and Mrs Kerrie Schulz have been appointed as Hospitality teachers. Mrs McDonald has a Diploma of Hospitality Management and an Advanced Diploma in Agriculture and is a certified trainer and assessor. Mrs McDonald has considerable experience in Hospitality Management and will lead our Hospitality department in 2023.

Ms Schultz is a passionate teacher specialising in Food Technology and the Visual Arts. She has had an extensive teaching career in both the primary and secondary areas and has a passion for developing curriculum.

We are thrilled to have Mrs McDonald and Mrs Shulz joining the College staff next year.

A safe and happy summer

Finally, thank you to all families for your support this year, especially during Term 4. As another year comes to a close, I wish you all a peaceful, safe and happy Christmas.

I look forward to seeing you in 2023.
