St James Golf Champion!

Last Friday Katie Z from Year 5 competed at the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Primary Regional and State Finals.  Katie finished in 1st place for our Region and in 12th place in the State!  WOW, what an achievement.  We are very proud of your efforts Katie.  It takes a lot of practice to be able to play so well I am sure. 

St James Tennis Team 2023 Trials

Over the last week a dedicated number of our Year 4 and 5 students have been involved in a round robin tennis tournament to establish who will be our representatives for St James at the Holt District tournament on Friday 11th February. 

There was some very tough competition, if I could have taken more than 4, I would easily have filled more spots. Thank-you to Charlie S sport leader from Year 6 for running much of the boys round robin.

Parent Helper Morning Tea and Thank-you

I am so humbled by all of the volunteers that consistently help me through out the year at the various sporting events. Even if you are turning up to coach, hand out ribbons, run an event, marshalling students for races, judging events, bringing oranges, lollies and gatorades, encouragement and support on the sidelines, I would love to see you at our Parent Helper Morning Tea on Friday from 10-11am in the Tilley Garden Space. This is our way of saying a huge thank you to all of you. 

If you cannot make it in person I would really like to say a huge thank-you to you all. I know I express my gratitude to you in person as much as I can but I do hope you all know how much your support means to me. For those of you who are moving on best wishes and good luck for your next journey, I hope you have felt a part of something really great at St James. For those of you staying on, I can’t wait to hang out with you track, pool, oval, pitch or court side in 2023.
