Foundation
The Elves Have Come To Visit!
On Monday morning we were very surprised to see that some elves had arrived in the Foundation and Year 1 classrooms! We received a letter from Santa to let us know that these elves had a very important job to do and that was to keep us on the Nice List this Christmas. He also told us that we could name our special elves. We voted and Foundation chose Frosty and Year 1 chose Candy Cane. Each day we have loved searching for the elves and seeing what mischief they have got up to!
Year 3/4 C
As the year is coming to an end, the ¾ students have reflected on their year and favourite memories at St James. Here is what 3/4C wrote.
Camille B My favorite memories of this year were the swimming carnival and zoo snooze. I really liked the swimming carnival, I entered in almost every race. Zoo snoozing was really fun! I loved watching the animals at night and sleeping in the tents. |
Ethan C One of my favourite memories at St James was when me and Eddie speedruned school in half an hour in remote learning, also I really liked bike camp where we stayed up till late at night talking and partying, we also did mini golf and activities, including lolly shop, rock climbing and archery. The Swimming carnival was also great with blue winning and having fun. |
Delilah C I had lots of great memories this year but one of my favorite memories is we had the swimming carnival, everyone had lots of fun and was supportive of each other. It was a great day and we all got ribbons. I went to every event that I could go to. Blue house won by two points. |
Audrey C One of my favorite memories at St James was when we were in Year 1 on our way to swimming, we had to be quiet and if we didn't talk and at the end of the swimming lessons we would get an ice cream bar. One of my other memories was in Prep when we had pyjama day and had hot chocolate. Mrs Busch tried to tell us not to spill it but it didn't really work. This year I loved the swimming carnival, green lost by 2 points. |

Poppy H One of my memories in 3/4C was when Miss Contin said Oww and we all ran out the classroom door, down stairs to the main playground. It was so funny when Miss Contin came out and told us to go back inside and we were all laughing are eyes out! |

Arran H Something that I enjoyed about year 3/4 is the Zoo camp and District. In Zoo camp we did the night walk and saw animals until 10:00pm. And in the District I did the long jump and 1500m. |
Oliver l My favorite thing being in 3/4C was Zoo camp. I was in a tent with P and Rana. We had challenges and they were so fun. I missed my parents but I had so much fun. |

Edgar Q Pyjama day was very fun in Prep. Everyone got hot chocolate and I had a sugar rush. In Prep we went to Lego land it was so fun. Everyone had such a great time at Twisted science this year. |
Evie R Something that I have really enjoyed this year and that I thought was really fun was the Swimming carnival. I loved the Swimming carnival because I participated in everything and most importantly everyone had fun. |
Sienna S Something I enjoyed this year was the science place called Twisted. It was amazing to see all of the experiments around the place, and I also liked the Zoo snooze. It was a lot of fun to walk around at night. |
Edward S I have enjoyed 3/4C because the teachers are kind and everyone is inclusive. My favourite memory is when we did a practice emergency evacuation. |
Beau S I really enjoyed State Basketball because I had fun and I could play with my friends and I enjoyed Zoo camp. |

This is what we enjoyed this year.
Madelyn - I loved Zoo Snooze. We had an awesome time.
Viv - Loved making a Rube Goldberg machine.
Harry - Going to the Swimming carnival and getting two second place ribbons.
Grace -Making new friends.
Nic - Mrs Busch giving me lollies.
Madison - Dad’s Camp was my favourite.
Jack - School soccer was so exciting.
Ivy - The Zoo Snooze challenges were great.
Lucia - Dad’s camp when the Dads acted as zombies.
Hugh - Mixing with the Year 3 ‘s and getting to know them.
Audrey - The first day of school this year when we had the getting to know you activities.
Evie - When our classroom glass shattered due to Mrs Busch’s singing voice.
Tilly J - Hoop time and getting to the State finals.
Ethan - The Rube Goldberg machine. It was so different from the beginning when we planned our contraption.
Victoria - School sport. I loved the skipping contest.
Saxon - Dad’s camp. I loved eating all the junk food.
Tilly S- Trying to find out your Kris Kringle.
Toby - School soccer. We had so much fun

Year 3/4 CC
We have had a wonderful year and cannot believe how fast it is drawing to a close. We are going to miss the laughs, the singing, the joy and each other.
