Levels 1 & 2

Level 1 Update

The students in Level 1 were excited to begin using their books and do some “real” learning. They have begun work on a study of ‘The Little Red Hen’ by acting out the story and sequencing the main events.  They are looking forward to doing some writing about the story next week. We looked at initial blends in our spelling and have been following the story of Kit and Sam visiting their grandparents. In Maths, the students had their first taste of making their own choices about their learning with 4 different 100 chart puzzles to choose from - they all did a great job challenging themselves! Next week we are looking forward to learning about skip counting and continuing our work on the ‘The Little Red Hen’.

Level 2 Update

Level 2 students have loved being back in the library. We have been practising our SWPBS behaviours by showing respect to each other through reading quietly and caring for our books.
