WESA District Swimming
Yesterday, Jells Park competed in the WESA District Swimming competition at Oakleigh Pools. A selected group of students from Level’s 4, 5 and 6 competed in individual 50 m events and relay teams. It was a terrific day with everyone giving it their best effort. There were some very strong swimmers from the other schools in our District however we managed to have 7 individual swimmers finish either first or second in their races. Jells Park dominated in the relay events with 7 of our 8 teams progressing to the Division Competition. Jells Park Came away with the Most Improved Trophy and coming second to Wheelers Hill PS.
Congratulations to the students who have progressed through to the Division Competition, which will be held on Tuesday 2 March.
Mr Oakey helped the girls 4 X 50m relay team with some strategy and tips. He must have said something special because the girls won!
Thank you to the parents who came along to support and assist with our team.
