Thornburys Worlds Greatest Shave

What a massive day for the Leukemia Foundation and Thornbury High School! The sun was shining, the VCE band was playing, the school captains were shaving. 

The stage was set for the fourteen brave teachers and students shaving their heads to raise money during the World’s Greatest Shave. 

It seemed like the entire school surrounded the VCE green courts during that Wednesday lunchtime, all there to witness fellow students  and their teachers participate in such a worthy cause. 

The Student Academic Committee came to the party as well, setting up a hairspray stall to get in some extra donations from students. The whole event went off without a hitch... except maybe a little bleeding of Mr. Oosterloo's head courtesy of School Captain Andrew Alexiou's enthusiastic shaving technique. 

The school has currently raised $8,639, just $1,361 dollars short of our goal. Don't panic though, there's still plenty of time to donate.
