The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps ensure that no student misses out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government's commitment to breaking the link between a student's socio-economic background and their achievements.
CSEF will be provided to eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. WORK EXPERIENCE
YEAR 10
21-25 June 2021
REMINDER - Work Experience forms are due back Friday 12 March. If you have not started looking for a placement, please start as soon as possible. All forms are to be handed in to Ms Molloy in the Work Experience Office (in the JRC).
Please be aware that students are unable to do their placements in a hospital or aged care setting due to the DET policy during the pandemic.
There is a program run by Monash University called HANDS ON HEALTH. We have had many students do this two-day program, thoroughly enjoyed it and have taken away a valuable experience. Students who wish to do this program are also more then welcome to attend two sessions to get a further understanding of the medical profession. It covers a wide range medical fields including nursing, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, etc. These programs are currently being run virtually but the students who were involved during 2020 have stated that they still got a lot of knowledge from them. The link for these days is Virtual Work Experience (monash.edu).
If your child is still struggling to secure a placement, please ask them to see Ms Molloy as soon as possible to discuss options and/or obtain assistance in finding a placement. If your child is unable to attend their placement during Work Experience week, they have been advised that they can do their placement on either the July or September school holidays. They will receive the last week of term 2 as a holiday in lieu of giving one week of their holidays.
The link below will take you to all forms (if you have misplaced yours) and important information such as employer ideas, etc.

STUDENTS DRIVING TO SCHOOL
Any student of legal driving age who intends to drive to school, either on a regular basis or occasionally, must comply with the school requirements and is required to complete the Parent Permission and Student Agreement Form. These forms are attached below and also available from the Senior Office.
SCHOOL DROP OFF AND PICK UP
As we are all aware, we have very limited parking in the Frankston High School grounds for parents picking up their children at the end of the school day. If you organise to meet your children in the drop off zone and they are not waiting for you when you arrive, please do not block the passage of cars trying to get through. If all of the unofficial spaces to the sides of the drop off zone are occupied when you arrive, please continue through the centre of the drop off zone, turn left out of the school into Foot Street, proceed down to the roundabout at Baileyana Street and then do a loop back up and around the Towerhill Road roundabout and back into the drop off zone.
Our preference has always been for parents to park in one of the side streets surrounding the school and wait for children to come to you. Thank you very much to the many parents who already do this.
It is much safer for students to be dropped off to school at the gate of Baileyana Street and then for them to walk across the oval.
Also, a reminder, face masks are mandatory on public transport.
We thank you for your cooperation.
CROSSING THE ROAD
REMINDER TO BUS TRAVELLERS
All students who travel to and from school via the public buses are reminded to only use the black and white ‘zebra crossings’ on Towerhill Road and Foot Street to get to and from bus stops, before and after school.
Traffic is extremely congested on the streets before and after school. It is not safe for students to cross the roads anywhere but the zebra crossings at any time, but especially before and after school. Parents are asked to discuss with their children, the importance of this matter.
