TREE PLANTING
NATIONAL TREES FOR SCHOOLS DAY
Wedndesday the 28th July was a momentous occasion – three years ago our Student Leadership Team identified that we need more shade trees in the yard for students to sit under on hot, sunny days. Last year our Student Environment Group identified more trees would promote biodiversity and provide a home for animals, and our Student Leadership Team wanted to beautify the school grounds. This year, our Student Leadership Team identified they would like to celebrate National Schools Trees Day by planting some trees that meet these goals. On Wednesday 28th July we planted some trees, in recognition of National Schools Tree Day on the 31st of July. There are 12 new trees planted between the STEAM building and the car loop. Once they settle in they will be a beautiful, functional addition to our school grounds. Well done to all students involved in campaigning for this to happen.
