Student Special Mentions

Congratulations to the following Year 11 students
Mateo Acosta Fernandez
Mateo has won through to finals of the VCAA PESA finals to be held next month. PESA is a public-speaking competition for students aged 15-18 years. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to build self-confidence and extend their skills in oral communication, speech writing and research. The competition encourages students from government, Catholic and independent schools to speak to their peers from other schools on topics they are passionate about.
Anthony Vassiliadis
Anthony was awarded the Mazenod College Community Service Award for 2019. The award is presented by the Lions Club of Wheelers Hill, who work in communities to assist those in need, work on community projects, and help those most vulnerable in the community. The award is a credit to Anthony's work in the Mazenod community and his dedication to many community projects and initiatives over the course of 2019.
Well done Mateo and Anthony.
