New Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC) resources:

  • Year 10 Guide assists students in choosing senior secondary studies for the right reason. It contains information about researching tertiary education, choosing senior secondary subjects, and how the ATAR is calculated.
  • Year 11 Guide provides information about researching tertiary education, choosing Year 12 studies, and understanding the ATAR.
  • Year 12 Guide provides information about researching tertiary courses, including meeting course requirements, and a guide through the stages of the VTAC application process, including applying for courses, SEAS, and Scholarships.

Tertiary Virtual Open Days

Now is also the time to start planning and registering for the upcoming Virtual Open Days running from this weekend through to September. Attending these tertiary info events is highly recommended as they provide a unique and valuable opportunity to explore course options and learn about courses of interest from academics and current students, plus explore the services and facilities the institutions have to offer. See the below document for a list of the 2020 Virtual Open Days and advice on Getting the most out of a Virtual Open Day 

Please note: as some run on the same day, students are encouraged to register for as many as possible so as to receive notifications from the institutions including recordings of the event if available.

ACU Talk with Industry Series

Join ACU for one of their Talk with Industry events, a series of webinar panel discussions featuring ACU graduates across a range of different professions. Meet Melbourne Online 2020

The Meet Melbourne webinars were recorded so students can take advantage of these informative sessions to learn more about the courses and careers that interest them most. During these webinars a panel of Melbourne insiders show students what life at Melbourne is really like and give students the opportunity to:

DESTINATION MONASH 2021 – Year 12 and parent info hub 

As new information becomes available, Destination Monash 2021 is there to answer your questions and assist students to explore their options. It is the place to come back to for updates, support, advice and event information throughout the year. As a hub for Yr12 students and their parentsit allows you to navigate the different Monash faculties and their courses, make an online enquiry or book a one-on-one appointment with course adviser, stay updated on upcoming Events, and find out about Monash Alumni plus there is an updated Parents Guide. Students can register their details to receive relevant information about the courses they are most interested in and any relevant upcoming activities during this time.

NIDA applications open for 2021 intake

Applications to study at the National Institute for Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2021 are now open. As Australia’s leading dramatic arts education institution, NIDA empowers artists in their chosen field to find their individual creative voices. You can apply for their Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Acting, Costume, Design for Performance, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, Properties and Objects, or Staging. You can also apply for one of their many Vocational or short courses. Applications are made directly to NIDA and are open until Wednesday 30 September. Find out more and apply here: https://apply.nida.edu.au/
