Good Fit Books 

At Holy Name we aim to foster a love of reading in all of our students. That is why it is so important to teach them about choosing books that work for them. We call these 'Good Fit Books'. 

One method for choosing suitable books is by using the 'I Pick' strategy from the Daily 5 framework for Reading instruction which we use across our school.

An important part of becoming an engaged, voracious reader is the ability to choose books that are a good fit. The I PICK criteria empower children to choose successfully, wherever they may be, without being tied to a leveled label. (The Daily CAFE, 2022)
