On Tuesday the 3rd of May Mackellar Primary school celebrated their first whole school Athletics Day. It was a fantastic turn out and we were lucky to have the weather on our side. 

Students came dressed in their House colours and were ready to show off the skills they had been practising so hard during term 1. They displayed all the school values while competing in the various events and we saw students achieve their goals and break some personal records. It was great to see so many students achieve success and bring home some ribbons.

The grade prep - 2 students got to experience their first Athletics Day by participating in a variety of events on the oval including rubber javelin, rubber discus, bean bag shot put and parachute activities. 

A special thank you to all the parents who attended on the day to support their child and to help out with the running of the events and running of the canteen. We appreciate your support and thank you for making the day extra special. A big congratulations to 'Lucky House' (Green) on winning the most points on the day and taking home the coveted House Shield. Well done!
