National Simultaneous Storytime 

On Wednesday the 25th of May students in Transition, Kindergarten and Years 1 and 2 walked to the Guyra Library to be a part of National Simultaneous Storytime. This annual event, held by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) showcases an Australian picture book and is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools and bookshops across the country. This year the chosen storybook was Family Tree by Josh Pyke and illustrated by Ronojoy Ghosh. St Mary of the Angels enjoyed joining in with students from around the area to listen to the story, which was read by James Roncon, the General Manager of the Armidale Regional Council. 

Our students were also lucky enough to stop at the park on the way for their morning tea and a play!
