YACVic's Reshare Our Future Sector Conference

We are thrilled to announce that YACVic’s Reshape Our Future youth forums are finally happening across Melbourne and regional Victoria in June 2022. We’re also delighted to announce that tickets will be free for all young people!

Reshape Our Future youth forums are free, fun and powerful events for young people to learn how to make a difference on the issues you care about and make new friends who care about the same things as you. We look forward to having you join us in-person after two years of disruptions! Location and Dates:

  • Wangaratta – 14 June, Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre

The youth forum will happen from 10am – 2pm on these days.

Session Topics:

  • We are the leaders of today and tomorrow (all locations)
  • Pathways to Power: how you can make a difference (all locations)
  • Local feature sessions which will differ on each location.

This event is planned by young people, for young people – we want a space to come together after two years of lockdowns, learn and take action to Reshape Our Future together. And it’s free for all young people, with food and refreshments provided too! Book your spot now and let’s Reshape Our Future

Pickleball tournament this weekend

The Wangaratta Pickleball Club is hosting one of the highest ranked tournaments on the Australian Pickleball Calendar called ‘Battle Of The Border’. This is a tournament where the Top 10 Male players from Victoria vs Top 10 Male from NSW AND the Top 10 Female players in Victoria vs Top 10 Female players in NSW. It is a free event for spectators to come and watch and also a good opportunity to see some of the best in the 2 states play each other. The tournament will also present the opportunity for spectators to connect with the biggest pickleball club in the state which is the Wangaratta Pickleball Club and find more details as to how to join the club and get involved.

The students can bring their family and friends to spectate and also get involved in some fun activities and raffle to stand a chance to win a couple of top-quality pickleball racquets amongst the raffle prizes to give away. Also, please note the funds raised through the raffle will go towards the club purchasing an automated defibrillator adding to another good cause for the community.

Need a dress or a suit for a special occasion, perhaps for our coming Deb Ball? Why not try the local Beechworth Formal Attire Library.

How the library works is you pay a $50 deposit for an item of your choice and borrow it for a day or a couple of days before the occasion, wear it, have a great time and return the item clean and in good condition. If the dress passes the required cleanliness, etc., you will receive your $50 back. That's why they call it a Library - you borrow and bring the item back.

If you have any enquiries outside of school events, please contact Josephine Cornish via email josephinecornish09@gmail.com, if you are attending one of our school events, please come and see Rebecca Younger at the office.
