From the Principal

Dear Parents/Caregivers

Welcome to Week 3.

Our campers had a great time last week, as they literally weathered the elements in Strathalbyn. Thankfully, the worst of the weather was avoided and the planned activities went ahead as scheduled.  A big thank you to the staff who organised and attended the the event. I'm sure they, like the children, savoured Friday night back in their own bed!

"I enjoyed horse riding and spending time with friends." Amelia

"The dessert was good!" Olivia

"I've never had so much and felt so cold at the same time." Gabriel J

It was great to have our first Assembly back for a long time today. Thank you to our year 4 cohort who shared their brilliant work and educational experiences with us. We will gather in the gym again on Thursday in week 6. All community members are welcome to join us.

A reminder that Term 2 means the transition to winter uniform. There was a "grace" period of a couple of weeks as the temperatures remain warm, which has now come to an end.  A reminder that all students should be wearing the correct school uniform at all times.  I appreciate that there are times when things haven't dried  or something has gone missing. On these occasions, please let your child's teacher know.  We do have school beanies as part of the uniform, these are great for keeping cold heads warm on a chilly morning.  Hats are not required until further notice, though children can wear them if they wish.

Next Wednesday,  25th May you are invited to join us for the “Music is Fun” concert. The performance involves a live 7 piece band of highly talented musicians who involve the audience to be fun active participants. This special performance compliments the Performing Arts curriculum where the students have been learning songs of various genres and eras from Jazz, heavy metal and rock and roll in preparation for the concert.

All are welcome to see this wonderful fun and entertaining event at school. Please join us in the gym after lunch (1.30) next Wednesday.
