Cross Country

A big congratulations to all of the students who ran at Friday’s House Cross Country event. We were extremely lucky to have a beautiful sunny Autumn day. The event is challenging for many students, but it was pleasing to see the support shown peer as they pushed themselves out of their comfort zones.

Thank you to all the parents who attended on the day. Having you all back in the school grounds once again, supporting your children made the day that even more special.

There were many outstanding individual efforts throughout the day but a couple worthy of mentioning were by Ruby in Level 5, who ran the 3km course for a second time, an hour after her own event, so she could run with a friend. The friend had missed the event due to a catch up NAPLAN test. Another was Fletcher in Level 2, who ran back to pick up a friend’s shoe that had come off and still finished the race in first place.

What amazing students we have at DPS!!

Best of luck to all students who have now qualified for our District Cross Country event at Ruffey Lake Park on Friday 27th May.
