P&F President's Update

Last night we had our first P&F meeting for term 2. Thanks to all who came along. We reflected on the last few weeks of Term 1 and the first few weeks of this term. We had a successful Hot Cross Bun drive. Thanks to everyone who supported us, we hope you enjoyed your goodies!

We also had a canteen at the Diocesan Winter Trials. Unfortunately it wasn’t as successful as we had hoped it would be, but we have learnt some valuable lessons for next time. Again thank you to those who helped us out. A big thanks to Simon Stuart who came and cooked the BBQ for us.

Term 2 started off with a bang! I wasn’t able to make it but I’ve only heard good things about the disco. I’ve been asked if we are having another Disco? The answer is YES! We discussed last night and our plan at this stage is to have a disco every term!!! We will set the date for our term 3 disco at our next meeting. We also held the Mother’s Day stall last week which proved to be very successful. Thanks to Mini Vinnie’s who helped out on the day.

The next big event for the P&F is the Trivia Night! Save the date for the 25th June 2022! As we can now come on to school grounds, we have decided to have the event in our St Anne’s Hall. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. $10 per person. BYO food and drinks. BYO gold coins for games. Tables of 8. If you need a table let me know (I need a table too) and we can organise that for you. Class Parents get your class organised to come and support this fun event. RSVP to the school office.

We are also looking at a fete for November! Can you help us out? If so let the school office or myself (jmward1003@bigpond.com) know and we will put you in touch with Kate Hawthorne and Jackie Toakley who have offered to organise the Fete this year (a huge thanks to both of them).

The next P&F meeting is the 8 June 2022. 5.30pm (for about an hour) in the staff room. Please come along and give your “2 cents worth”. It’s never too late or too early to come and join the P&F.
