Killara School Partnership String ensemble

The sound produced by our KSP string ensemble at their concert on Tuesday last week was superb, it was so rich. The musicians came from Lindfield East Public School, Killara Public School and Gordon East Public Schools as well as Killara High School to spend a morning in rehearsal of two pieces by Timo Jarvela – Valse Grazioso and Night Capers. Our conductor was Mariana Sywak.

Many parents and grandparents came to the concert at noon and were impressed with the quality of the sound produced. What a wonderful experience for these young musicians. We were so impressed with the demeanour of all the performers.

Jacki Berry of Killara High School organised everything so it flowed smoothly, and we appreciated the assistance provided by the primary schools and the many parents involved in transporting these students.
