Attendance Notifications

Advising of student absences has become so much easier! We have now centralised how parents advise us of their children’s absence to simplify processes for everyone.

Due to an update from the Department of Education and Training requiring all absences are to be explained within 3 days. We have revised our procedures to make it easy for you to let us know what is happening with your child. We now have one email address for all parents to use for absences that have occurred or those coming up in the future.

Effective immediately, if your child is/is going to be absent please forward an email to attendance@jpps.vic.edu.au outlining the reason for the absence.

This will come to the office where the attendance system will be updated and teachers advised.

Each Friday afternoon an email will be generated and sent to parents for all remaining unexplained absences.

This email will be automatically generated and will come from the above email address so sending a ‘reply’ will come to the right place.

Links to this email address are also available on the Bulletin Board of the School Website and Under eForms on Skoolbag.

It is no longer necessary to email teachers concerning absences. If you wish to pass on additional information or need something from your child’s teacher, please continue to communicate through their email address.
