Performing Arts

Level 3 & 4
Over the last few weeks in Performing Arts, students in Levels 3 & 4 have been working on learning patterns and riffs on the xylophone. They have been working as teams of 3 to help each other develop their skills. The students have also been connecting their practical work to learning about notation! Notating the patterns and riffs they learn on the staff and recognising where the notes are placed! Keep up the good work Level 3 & 4!
Level 5 & 6
Students in Levels 5 & 6 have been working well on developing their skills on the ukuleles! They have been learning to read chord diagrams, as well as moving fluently between the chords. In the coming weeks, we will be putting the chords together to play along to some well-known songs!
Senior Choir & NEVR Choir
Reminder that Senior Choir is running NOW every Tuesday Lunchtime in the gym! Last week we had over 70 students come – let’s keep that up!
Also, a reminder to those Level 5 & 6 students who are interested in performing as part of the choir at the NEVR (North Eastern Victorian Region Youth Concert) showcase this year in May, that auditions will be held by Miss Gaudion, Mr O’Kane and Mrs Friebel in the next few weeks. This opportunity is limited to 20 students in Level 5 & 6 – keep an eye out for dates to come!
