Student Leadership

Student Leaders
Our Student Leaders have already been busy within the school community growing in their leadership skills and actively pursuing opportunities to use these skills. After completing our leadership workshops earlier in the year they are now working on small projects based around the student oath we say each week at assembly.
I am Proud to be Australian: Students have delivered a creative presentation on something they love about Australia or makes them proud to be Australian. We had vegemite sandwiches, pavlova, beach holidays, multiculturalism, AFL, sports in general and the stark, diverse contrast of Australian holiday destinations. Included below are a couple of presentations.
I will honour the flag: In the coming weeks, students will be teaching our Level 2 & 3 students about the Australian and Aboriginal flags.
Obey the Law: Later in the year we have a visit planned from a community liaison Police Officer to discuss the role of the police in maintaining the law.
Respect the Community: Over the holidays, students will be interviewing and then reporting on a friend or family member who plays an active role in serving the community as a volunteer or via their chosen vocation.
Care for the Environment: The Environment captains ran our Clean Up Australia Day last Friday.
Performing Arts Captains
Have been busy choosing new songs for the before school, recess and lunchtime bell music. Keep an ear out for the new collection over the coming weeks. They have also been busily managing the sound system for assembly and State School Spectacular practices.
House Captains
The House Captains have a busy time approaching with the Level 4-6 House Sports on Wednesday 15 March. As well as teaching their House members the team chants they will also be playing an active role setting up and leading on the sports day.
