HOUSE SWIMMING SPORTS

On Thursday 6th February, there was a sea of blue, green, red and yellow as the school arrived at Doveton Pool in the Park in preparation to compete in the annual House Swimming Championships. Thanks to the fantastic leadership of the 2020 house captains, house spirit was high and the weather could not have been any more perfect.

There was an outstanding number of students prepared to take part in traditional swimming events as well as the novelty events scheduled, such as the surfboard relay and noodle races. It was so great to see gender and all ages come together to form teams in the novelty races in an attempt to win points for their teams.

After a number of successful swims I’m pleased to report the following students have been awarded swimming champions in 2020:

Junior Boys: Timothy Nguyen (year 8) & Blake Klein (year 7)

Junior Girls: Remme Mason (year 8)

Intermediate Boys: Noah Cohen

Intermediate Girls: Jasmine Spence

Senior Girls: Katrina Ward & Imogen Cunnington

Senior Boys: Nathan Acheson

Congratulations to all the champion students for their efforts on the day. For the third year in a row, Kimmuli has managed to come from behind using double points in the relays to win the event. Congratulations to Katrina and the rest of Kimmuli on their efforts.
