Principal's Report

Having Fun at Marlborough

Last Thursday the Colour Run was an incredible success. Thank you to Kirstin, members of the PA, parents who volunteered and everyone who came along and supported their children. It was an afternoon filled with lots of energy, laughter and friendship. Having fun at school and sharing special experiences as a community is an intrinsic part of who we are at Marlborough and what we stand for.

'A school teaches in three ways, by what it teaches, by how it teaches and by the kind of place it is.'

                                                                                                                                             The Secondary Phase of Education

Seeing teachers and students joining together, being silly and getting covered in colour has a huge impact on building and maintaining school culture. School culture (the feel of the school) is largely based on relationships. Events such as the colour run allows us to build these relationships, allows us to see each other in very different roles than we see day-to-day and to build the sense of community and belonging for all of our students.

Teacher Appreciation Day Lunch - Thank you

I would like to thank Cherie Mountney and the other parent volunteers who organised an amazing lunch for Teacher Appreciation Day. It was really appreciated and was a great way to thank all of our amaing teachers for the great job they do.
