RESOURCE SMART AWARD

Footscray City College has been awarded the Resource Smart- Community Leadership award for 2019! The Resource Smart awards recognise the outstanding sustainability efforts of Victorian primary and secondary schools that contribute to a better place. Footscray City College is leading secondary schools in the Western Suburbs in the area of sustainability.

The nomination was based on work carried out by Horticulture and STEAM students which have contributed to the local community becoming a more sustainable suburb. These projects included growing plants for the local community, establishing a new waste deferral system for Footscray City College and sustainability projects carried out by STEAM students.
