HOPE Cooking camp 

style on a Trangia

During class this week, HOPE students discussed ways in which we could incorporate some element of camping into our class. Given the current climate we were unable to go camping as a class. However we instead decided to learn how to cook   ‘camp style’. 

We decided how to cook using a Trangia – a camp style stove. This included; setting it up, how to safely fuel and light, how to boil, cook, clean as we would if we were really using it whilst camping. The HOPE class learnt how important these basic skills are when camping as well as the significance of ensuring everyone is using the same safety measures.

At the end of class we all got to enjoy a cup of noodles just to make it even more fun. 😊
