Eastern Metropolitan Region Track and Field

Last Thursday 17th October we had several of our students compete at the Eastern Metropolitan Region Track and Field Athletics Championships, conducted at Bill Sewart Athletics Track, Burwood.  In very cold and wintery conditions our students competed valiantly.  Congratulations to all students competed so well across the day - qualifying to compete at Regionals is a wonderful achievement!

9/10 Girls: Julia Lindhaus (Triple Jump)

11 Boys:  Reve Cashmore (Shot Put)

11 Girls:  Beti Millen (200m)

11 Girls:  Relay Team

    (4th Place Taya Sunderland, Anna Ballard, Kit Bell and Beti Millen)

12/13 Boys: Jason Abraham (200m)

12/13 Boys:  Relay Team (Myles Kellett, Jason Abraham, Gulliver Kozel and Kai Michaelski)

A special mention to Bron Millen and the Cashmore, Abraham and Michaelski families for helping out with transport.

DIVISION BASKETBALL

On Tuesday 22rd October our Yr 5/6 All Stars teams (Boys and Girls) competed at the Division Finals, conducted at Dandenong Basketball Stadium. 

Our girls competed valiantly in tough competition all day,  improving as a team from one game to the next!  Our boys, under the guidance of Mark Cashmore, played brilliantly, in a very closely contested competition.  We narrowly missed going through to Regionals, with three teams neck and neck. All students are to be very proud of such an outstanding accomplishment – well done!

A big ‘thank you’ to Mark and Nicole Cashmore, and Bron Millen for assisting at the event - your support is much appreciated!

Color fun run - One weeks to go!

Next Thursday is our School Colour Fun-Run! Let’s hope we smash our target of $1500.

The event will kick off 2.30pm on the School Oval. We look forward to seeing students get involved!  Students are to wear an old, white or light coloured TShirt – this will help the colours show up as they are splattered……..

Remember, we’d love to see you down there on the day cheering the kids on! Everyone’s invited!
