Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hi Families,

There has been and is a lot going on.  Term 4 is progressing quickly with only four weeks left for the 2022 school year.  Crazy I know.

Junior Transitions

Our transition programs have started for our future prep students, and a big thank you to staff and students for ensuring our future students feel welcomed.  Our transition programs will ramp up over the next few weeks leading up to December 13th for the state-wide Transition Day, where all students will spend a day in their classes for 2023.

Junior Building

Next week our junior building is busy with our Grade 2 day camp and Prep-1 late stay.  We are looking forward to these events to celebrate a great year together.

2023 School Leaders

Next Friday we will be having a special school assembly at 2:30, where we will be announcing our 2023 school and house captains.  I had the privilege of being a part of the speeches this year, as grade 5 students presented their pitch to the school.   We will once again be represented by confident and energetic student leaders next year.

School Captains

Hi everyone, we're back and talking about all the wonderful things happening at our school.  First of all, we’d like to start by saying how wonderful it was seeing the new preps of 2023 getting familiar with the school.

Last Sunday was the autumn festival, we are proud that so many kids represented our school in the march, and we are glad to say that we as a school won the best theme award.

Last Friday as most of you know was Remembrance Day. The whole of the senior building attended the Ballan service. We as school captains laid a wreath to pay our respects to the ones that served in the wars.

Next Friday is a very special day for those grade 5’s that went for the role of house or school captain. It will be announced next assembly on Friday. Thanks for listening and we hope you have a great weekend!!!!

Autumn Fest

A big thank you to everyone involved with the Ballan Spring into Autumn Festival last Sunday.  Our school along with St.Bridgets won the best-themed entry.  It was fantastic to see both schools in colour, as we paraded through the jam-packed main street. A massive thank you to Mrs. Hunter for her organisation in this space.

Fete

Fingers crossed that the weather plays nicely as we approach the rescheduled date for our school Fete. Thursday, December 1st is the revised date, and we are really looking forward to hosting the community for this event.  A reminder that Friday the 2nd of December is a scheduled pupil-free day.

Bunnings BBQ

We are looking for volunteers to help us on Saturday the 3rd of December at Bunnings Melton.  Our PFG have secured the BBQ fundraising spot that morning, and it is our hope that parents will help out if possible.  Contact the school if you have an hour or more available to man the BBQ.

That’s it for now, as always stay safe and enjoy each other’s company and friendship.

Bye for now.
