Happy World Teacher's Day!
Happy World Teacher's Day!

Although it has been a short week, there has still been lots of activity at school this week.

While students were enjoying a pupil free day, our teachers were busy working together on whole school planning.  I would again like to acknowledge the great work our staff are doing, and thank them for their commitment to our students and their learning outcomes, as evident in the latest NAPLAN results.

Round 2 of the music competition began yesterday, along with this week's lunchtime dance party.  Congratulations to Genevieve on correctly guessing last week's theme of 'Sunshine'.  A big thank you again to our 'Music Master' Angela for her organisation.

Yesterday, students in Prep - 2 travelled to Dederang for the Junior Sports Day.  Thank you to all staff and families for their support and assistance with this excursion.  The day was thoroughly enjoyed by students and everyone was grateful that the rain (mostly) stayed away.

A big thank you also to Mount Beauty Food works and everyone who has been donating their points to our school.  This week we received a donation for $1284 which will be used to purchase some new music instruments and also some new sports equipment.

This term's parent teacher interviews will be held next week from the 7th - 10th November.   Interviews will be held face to face and bookings can now be made via Compass. If you require an online booking, please contact your child's teacher to arrange this.

Last Friday, we acknowledged World Teacher's Day with a special presentation at assembly and morning tea.  Many thanks to Nicole and students for their support in making some lovely cards and to the Davies family for creating the lovely banner which greeted staff on their arrival to school.  We really appreciate the time taken to show our staff how much they are valued.

A big thank you also to all the volunteers who continue to support our breakfast program.  This is really appreciated by students as demonstrated by their recently decorated blackboard.
