Arts & Technology Showcase

What a wonderful year we have had in the Art and Technology Learning Area this year! 

Our ‘Art & Technology Showcase’ on Wednesday 16 November was a fantastic highlight to end the year. We had 341 exhibits from our students at Scoresby Secondary College and Scoresby, Carrington, Mountain Gate, Ferntree Gully North, Kent Park and Knox Park Primary Schools. These displays were bright and creative showcasing the amazing work that is being done by our students in the Arts and Technology at the College, and local primary schools. We had an amazing turnout, so many parents, teachers and students came to see the exhibition!

Scoresby Secondary College awarded one student from each Primary School for an Art Award, selected for work that stood out for demonstrating skill and creativity beyond what we may expect to see for their year level. 

The winners were:

Carrington Primary School – Xavier, Grade 6

Ferntree Gully North Primary School – Caitlin, Prep

Kent Park Primary School – Tristan, Grade 2

Knox Park Primary School – Charlotte, Grade 5

Mountain Gate Primary School – Neve, Grade 5

Scoresby Primary School – Bowen, Grade 6

On the night we also ran a People’s Choice Award for every year level in Art and Technology and also for Performing Arts from our secondary school students. We were very pleased to receive generous support in the form of prizes donated by our sponsors Zart Art, Eckersley’s Art and Craft, Officeworks, Tools for Schools and Bunnings.
