Wellbeing Services
As we near the end of 2022, I want to share with our students’ families the mental health and wellbeing services that are available while the school is closed over the holiday break.
There is a range of mental health services in the community to reach out to if more support is needed for your child or teenager’s mental health (see list provided).
I also want to share the ‘Calendar of Connections’ from R U OK? which has some ideas for things you can do to connect with friends and family during the holiday period.
According to Beyond Blue, strong connections with family, friends and the community provide us with happiness, security, support and a sense of purpose. Being connected to others helps us maintain positive mental and physical wellbeing and can protect against anxiety and depression.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday.
