Education Week- Move, Make, Motivate

Thank you to our teachers for opening the doors to their classrooms for Education Week last week, and to all the parents who made the time to visit. It was great to see parents involved in our Friday sport sessions- kicking footies, shooting for goals and hitting tee-balls. It was lots of fun and highlighted the importance of promoting regular physical activity for children (and adults!)

Year 1 Zoo Excursion

As part of their inquiry unit, ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, our Year 1 students visited Melbourne Zoo on Wednesday. They became ‘Wild Explorers’, learning all about what makes animals special, their unique features, and how they can care for wildlife and their homes.  What an action-packed day full of fun and learning for our students. 

Highlighting Student Work

Last week, I was visited by Max in PEC.  Inspired by the dragon kites hanging in our Performing Arts Centre, Max designed and made this amazing flying dragon of his own. Not only did his piece of art look amazing, I love the creativity and perseverance Max demonstrated during Investigative Learning.  Well done Max!
