School Uniform

The vast majority of our students wear our college school uniform every day and it is appreciated.  We have a school uniform for many reasons, which are outlined below, the main reason is to make school life easier for both students, parents and carers.

  • School uniforms keep students focused on their education, not their clothes.
  • School uniforms create a level playing field among students, reducing peer pressure and bullying.
  • Wearing uniforms enhances school pride, unity, and community spirit.
  • School uniforms may improve attendance and discipline.
  • Uniform policies save valuable class time because they are easier to enforce than a standard dress code.
  • School uniforms prevent the display of gang colors and insignia.
  • School uniforms make getting ready for school easier, which can improve punctuality.
  • School uniforms can save parents money.
  • School uniforms may deter crime and increase student safety.
  • Students’ legal right to free expression remains intact even with mandatory school uniforms.
  • Students dressed in uniform are better perceived by teachers and peers.

We have seen some recent trends that are not in line with our uniform policy that I would like to draw your attention to so that you can ensure your child is not doing this:

  • No Hoodies – in colder months students may require extra undergarments to stay warm – if seen they must be navy blue with ‘hoodies’ not permitted
  • Track pants / shorts must be navy blue and not black
  • School socks must dark, which are usually black or navy blue, definitely not white.

Please, when your child exits the home for school can you pay attention to the above. Your support on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Primary School Basketball Competition

Hopefully starting Week 5 will be our Primary School Basketball Competition, students are encouraged to sign up on the Breeze Way Notice board.  It will run over 2 lunchtimes per week.  All students need to do is sign up and we will place you in a team.  Currently we have two divisions F to Yr 3 and Yr 4 to Yr 6.
