Well done boys and we look forward to Team sVc taking on the state’s best at the Tasmanian Secondary All School Cross Country Championships at Symmons Plains on Tuesday 20 June.
Unfortunately, our 2nds team has narrowly missed making the SSATIS Final, going down to The Hutchins School in the final round in atrocious conditions at Geilston Bay. It has generally been a fantastic experience for Team sVc as they took on much older and experienced players. We now look forward to the Year 9-10 roster in Term 3.
Our Year 7-8 teams still have another two rounds to go before finals. Currently sVc Blue is top of the table with sVc Gold 4th and sVc Green 5th. We very much look forward to the pointy end of the competition.
Thank you to many staff who put so much time into managing our sports teams, and sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
It has been a great start to the Water Polo roster with both our teams doing well.
Year 7-8 Blue is currently sitting in 3rd on the ladder and Year 9-10 Blue 4th after the first four games.
Thank you to our dedicated staff and parents who are assisting with coaching, supervision, and manager duties, along with the weekly bench duties.

Registrations are now OPEN for the following Term 3 Co-Curricular activities:
Registrations close at 5.00 pm on Friday 23 June 2023. To register please click here and complete the Google Form.
There is no need to re-register for activities from Term 2 that continue into Term 3. Please check with your co-curricular activity coordinator or coach if you have any questions.
Please ensure that students and parent/carers consult prior to registration in order to avoid duplicate entries and or registering for activities that the student does not wish to participate in. St Virgil's College is an all inclusive school and therefore will try to ensure all students that register will be able to participate in his chosen activity. Where numbers and or resources dictate, selection trials may be required.
Further information regarding rosters, days, times, teams and/or training details for the above Term 3 Co-Curricular Activities will be provided as soon as possible.
The College will transport the boys from Austins Ferry after school to their respective venues each afternoon via bus. Parents/carers are to collect the boys promptly at the conclusion of their match or training.
Boys are required to provide their own sport specific uniforms (different to the official school day sports uniform) which can be purchased through the Uniform Shop. The Uniform Shop is open Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm or can be contacted on 6249 3610 or st.virgils@midford.com.au.
It is a condition of participation in all sVc Sport Programs that students are consistently meeting the College's behaviour and academic effort expectations. Representing the College is a privilege and ongoing participation in co-curricular activities is subject to behaviour tracking and advice from Heads of House and College Leadership.
Please email me at mmoschogianis@stvirgils.tas.edu.au if you have any questions.
