LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH WHILE YOU MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Are you too shy to talk to people because you cannot speak English very well? Well, you can improve your English because Killester College runs a ‘Conversational English Class for adults’ every Monday morning from 10.00am till 12.00p during school term, for parents, family members and friends.  Classes are fun, where you are safe to try your new language skills in a friendly place. You will learn words that you may use every day while at the same time making new friends who will encourage you to talk in English.  We also talk about things that are happening in our community.

We would love you to join us to help improve your English and at the same time have lots of fun in the Family Learning Centre at Killester College. Please sign in at the office.

Queries can be directed to Loreto Cannon  lcannon@killester.vic.edu.au .  We hope to see you there.

Mazenod FC - Girls Soccer Team:

Mazenod FC is actively striving to create a Female Football program to run parallel to our long-running male football department.

At present, we have FIVE female teams with room to grow. As such, we have places available to fill our Under 13 and Under 15 GIrls teams, who will play in the Football Victoria metropolitan competitions this season.

With the FIFA Womens Football World Cup due on our shores this year, we would like to see the number of female footballers grow, not only for us but for the nation in general.

2/2023 Greater Dandenong Volunteer Expo

The Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service (South East Volunteers) in collaboration with Greater Dandenong City Council is excited to invite you to the 2023 Greater Dandenong Volunteer Expo!  This Expo will take place the week following National Volunteer Week to extend the promotion and value of volunteering in our community.

The Expo will be held at Springvale City Main Hall and Supper Room | Greater Dandenong Council on 23 May, 2023 from 10am – 3pm and will feature stalls from over 40 local organisations from various sectors: aged care, disability, new migrant services, local Council, gardening and conservation, hospitality, emergency and other community services

Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people in the community, support local organisations and not-for-profits, and build up your own skills and experience. The Expo will provide the community with the opportunity to engage with local organisations, find out what volunteering opportunities there are available in the community and learn more about volunteering. The event is free and will also include performances, cultural cuisines and a coffee cart. So come along and join in on the fun!
