Winter Sport Training Arrangements for the End of Term 2

As you would be fully aware, due to the King’s Birthday long weekend, there are no fixtures scheduled to take place this Saturday 10 June. As communicated through the daily announcements to boys, all students engaged in Winter sport will participate in their team’s first training session only this week with the second session cancelled.

Training sessions will go ahead as per the schedule in Week 8 in preparation of the final round of fixtures scheduled for this term taking place on Saturday 17 June.

At this point in time there will be no training in Week 9, with the exception of a few teams whose coaches may wish to arrange a session for their teams early in the week. This will be organised and discussed with those teams next week at training].

All are warmly invited to spectate the annual First XI Football verse St Patrick’s College Old Boys’ game on Tuesday 20 June, SPC 2 Oval, kicking off at 3:45 PM.

Winter sport training will resume upon students’ return to school on the first day of Term 3, Tuesday 17 July.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Anthony del Popolo (Year 10) and Vincent Pappalardo (Year 8) – both Anthony and Vincent did extremely well representing the College and NSW CIS team at the NSW All Schools Diving Championships last week.

Anthony won a bronze medal in the 16 Years Springboard event as well as placing Fourth in the 15-16 Years Platform event. Vincent won a gold medal in the 13 Years Springboard event and a silver medal for the 12-14 Years Platform event.

These outstanding results will see both boys progress to the School Sport Australia Diving Championships later this year as representatives of the NSW team.
