DPS Everest Program

Every Thursday select students from Level Three to Six participate in extension sessions to explore an array of English and Numeracy topics. Students were given an opportunity to help to decide what areas were covered in the classes and enjoy working with like minded peers. 

The teachers running the sessions are

Alisha Spiteri- Level Three’s

Courtney Larsen and Lillie Powell- Level Four’s

Rana El-bay- Level Five’s 

Vanessa Keen- Level Six’s

Ava 3B- This term in Everest I have really liked doing quizzes. The maths was hard at first but after I practiced, it got easier and now I like it.

Sophie 4WB- We have been doing fractions and decimals. I enjoyed when we did an activity with adding decimals, decimals equations.  

Edward 5K- I enjoy doing Everest because it helps us learn while also having fun. We have been doing multi-step worded problems and algebra. What I have most challenging was the multi-step worded equations because it requires a lot of concentration.  

Adrina 6M- We have been doing maths and learnt how to do complicated algebra. I found this quite challenging but enjoyable. We are soon moving onto art which I am looking forward to.
