All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

The St Vincent de Paul Society of Australia

From beginnings in France in the early 1800s, the St Vincent de Paul Society of Australia was founded in 1854. Commonly known in Australia as 'Vinnies', today they have over 45,000 members and volunteers across the country who give their time, care and compassion to assist the most vulnerable in our community.

Most  members are primarily Catholic and their work is based on Catholic Social Teachings.  Assistance is given to whoever seeks  support, without judgement or prejudice. They do not discriminate against cultural, religious, political, gender or gender identity beliefs.

St Vinnie's works to combat social injustice by advocating for people who are marginalised or disadvantaged, or at risk of experiencing disadvantage. Their advocacy work goes to the heart of what the St Vincent de Paul Society stands for.

“The strongest hand of true friendship is charity; the exercise of charity is the practice of good works. ”

- Blessed Frederic Ozanam, founder of St Vincent de Paul Society

St Vincent  was born in France in1581. He became a priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor  and is known as the patron of all works of charity.

In our mission to care for the poor and vulnerable in our community we are assisting St Vinnies by donating necessary items to those in need. Please refer to the flyer to see what your child can bring to school. Please feel free to donate anything you are able to, even if it is not assigned to your child's class.

Thanking you for your continued support.
