Building Works Update

Taking Shape

Despite the cold and wet weather, the hardworking tradies are making excellent progress on the building. The site is bustling with activity, even in the rain.

The painters are meticulously transforming the walls, ceilings, and doors inside the building with fresh coats of paint. Pin and whiteboards are being installed, and light fittings and power points are added to ensure functionality. The deck is nearly complete, and the wet areas and floors have been expertly waterproofed.

Outside, civil works are well underway. The entrance footpath, staff carpark, and paving are all taking shape. The garden beds are being prepared, and fence posts, stairs, and handrails are being installed. The tradespeople are almost finished with the external building cladding and painting.

Although there is still work to be done, the building team is confident that they are on track to deliver a high-quality finished product to the school.

It is truly remarkable how far they have come since September 2022, when demolition work began on the outdated Penfold teaching space. The new teaching spaces are shaping to be sleek, modern, and light-filled.
