Something especially fun happened on Tuesday of week seven in the music room!

Students and lecturers from the University of Adelaide Open Music Academy visited to perform for our year nine music class. The students then participated in a songwriting workshop. They wrote a thematic piece about Peterborough's steamtown history using words and lines they brainstormed. These were 'enormous and scary, soot and steel' and 'Bob the Dog is stuffed in a pub'! Students then selected tuned and untuned percussion instruments and created sounds they thought represented a steamtrain theme. Finally, the students arranged a ska version of their song!
