Principal's Message
Dear Parents, students and the wider community,
Next week will again be one of remote learning for our students. Congratulations to all of you on one whole week of Remote Learning. Hopefully next Friday morning I will be able to welcome everyone back on-site.
I found a little prayer for our students and families at home doing their best:-
A Prayer for At Home (Remote) Learning
Home is where we eat at the table and sleep in our bed
For now, home is where we do our learning, too God,
please be with me when I learn at home
Help me to understand what to do
Help me to be patient if it gets hard or feels too different
Most of all, help me to feel your love.
Amen
I have had a chance to have a look around our school over the past week and I thought I would mention a few developments.
The pavers we had commissioned for our Golden Jubilee have now been laid thanks to David Beech.
My thanks also to Silke Cripps and Michelle Haggarty who continually seek to improve the gardens, particularly near the main entrance to the school.
Mark is currently opening up the front entrance, moving back the fences and adding in some upright sleepers to soften the all metal entrance.
I also need to mention the fabulous artwork that is the cross supplied by the Ary Family that now sits proudly in our Library. Thank you Ary Family.
Our school is all the better for the contributions of our community.
Wishing everyone a positive weekend.
God Bless
Rod Shaw

School Attendance and Unexplained Absence
Please ensure you contact the school before 9:30am if your child is going to be absent or late by leaving a message on 9786 4736 and press #1.
If you are running late (after 9:00 am ) please attend the office to sign your child into school.
As per our policy this will be our morning routine for absences:
Parents will be contacted as soon as practicable on the morning a student is absent via a phone call or text message.
If parent does not reply or is unreachable the emergency contacts will be contacted by the school.
If there is still no response, and the school feels that the child is in danger, the police will be contacted.
Ongoing unexplained absences or lack of cooperation regarding student attendance will result in a formal conference being organized. Unresolved attendance issues will be referred to D.H.H.S.
This is a legal requirement.
