Cyber Safety.

In light of recent news reports & backed by research pointing to an alarming increase in online harms & child exploitation (Sydney Morning Herald May 16), particularly since COVID19, Carley has written an open letter to all parents of primary school parents. Carley is a psychologist, cyber safety educator and parent and writes her letter to both increase awareness and also provide some practical steps to get started.

Promoting Healthy School Communities.

Glen Eira City Council, Community Consultation.

Glen Eira Council is currently working on developing the new Council Plan and Health and Wellbeing Plan for the years 2021-2025 to create a healthy, connected and thriving Glen Eira. This is an important responsibility we undertake every four years to help support the growth and resilience of our community and our City.

We are currently engaging with our community to help guide this work. Until 20 June 2021 we will be actively seeking community input from as many people as possible to ensure the diverse views of our community members are included and considered throughout the process.

There will be different opportunities to get involved online and face to face.  We have started a range of pop up engagements at popular places across the municipality that will run over May.  We will also be undertaking a random telephone survey of 500 people and will be running various workshops, focus groups and interviews over the course of the coming weeks.
