Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Last Friday, Mass was celebrated in recognition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - a devotional with long and historic provenance within Christianity, and in modern times has been established as a Solemnity  for the universal Church.

“Just for today, help me, Dear God, to always remember that my life is a gift, and my health a blessing, that this is a new day filled with awesome potential, that I have the capacity to bring something wholly new and unique and good into this world.

Just for today, help me, God, to remember to be kind and patient to the people who love me, and to those who work with me too. Teach me to see all the beauty that I so often miss, and to listen to the silent longing of my own soul.

Just for today, help me, God, to remember You. Let this be a good day, God, full of joy and love.     Amen.”

Altar Serving -Expressions of Interest

Thank you to those students who have returned the expressions of interest form regarding Altar Serving.  In consultation with Fr Vince and Carissa, we will commence training shortly.  As students become more confident, they will be encouraged and supported to altar serve during Friday Mass.  Preferred weekend attendance will be shared with Parish Secretary, Bern Press, and this will be added to the church roster advising when your child/ren are to altar serve.

God bless,
