Assembly

Thank you to the members of the BMGS Rock Band - Emily Monk (vocals), William Louis (lead guitar), Zachary Filla (bass) and Jonathan McHugh (drum kit) - for their performance of the Arctic Monkey’s song ‘R U Mine?’ at last week’s Assembly. Rock Band rehearses every Monday afternoon in the PAC Recital Room under the direction of Cameron Smith (Alumnus 2016). 

Playerlink Applications Now Open

Playerlink is a great opportunity to gain practical insight and develop musical skills in a series of masterclasses, workshops and performances, all under the guidance of Sydney Symphony musicians.

Talented student musicians in Years 5-12 are now invited to apply for the Playerlink 2021 student workshop. Held in regional NSW, Playerlink is the ultimate development program for young musicians. Perform side by side with Sydney Symphony musicians and gain expert insight through a range of masterclasses and sectional workshops.

Date: 10th to 12th September, 2021

Venue: Northern Rivers Conservatorium, Lismore

Pricing: $150 first child / $130 second child / $110 third child

Audition Criteria: Students in Year 5–12 are invited to apply by audition video

Change to Stage Band Rehearsal Times 

Until the end of Term 2, Stage Band will rehearse on Friday afternoons in preparation for the Winter Ball. Concert Band will rehearse on Tuesdays at lunchtime. Thank you to all students involved in these ensembles for their flexibility and commitment.

Winterreise Soiree

There is still space for Senior students who would like to perform at the Winterreise Soiree on Thursday, 17th June. The sign-up sheet is at the Music Office.
