Primary Department News

YEAR 3/4

YEAR 5/6

Learning in 5/6 C

It has been busy in the 5/6 department since camp in week 4.

We have been researching and writing information reports about different jobs in the community. Students are also performing regular classroom jobs to develop a better sense of purpose and belonging. Students are paid for their work and will be able to spend their money at the end of the term. I am incredibly pleased with the way the students have stepped up to their daily responsibility. Some students are asking for more classroom chores.

We have been collecting data and creating graphs and charts to analyse - collection of PBIS tickets, coins etc..

In numeracy we have been learning about fact families.

Eduardo has been exploring his culinary skills by making waffles and quesadillas.

The grade 5/6 students are getting fit with regular fitness classes with Ian too.. This week we started Tae Kwon Do.  There is no stopping us...

Busy times in the grade 5/6 Department!!
